Get Involved

If you are interested in this trip in any way then there are plenty of ways to get involved. The more people the better! We hope to be able to encourage and enable all people to get involved in the universal quest for a better world. The more people and organisations who are working towards peace in any way, the more hope we have.

It starts with us. It starts here. It starts today.

I once read some statistic that said that the chance of living a long life is doubled by getting involved with a project or organisation so this may be a seriously good investment for you too!

Here are some ways you can get involved as individuals or part of an organisation:

Come with us - We will be taking on the roles of great philosophers, explorers, teachers and philanthropists. From beginning to end (if it ever ends...) we will become a part of something special and unique and to open our hearts and minds to an experience that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. We hope to form strong lasting bonds with those who join us and to share something magical. If you’re interested in coming with us, click here.

Be peaceful - The first and perhaps most important actions that everyone can do is to try their best to live a peaceful life. It sounds insignificant but without this, there is no peace. Learn about non-violence and put it into action in your everyday life. Humanity is made up of individuals. When enough of those individuals embrace a peaceful way of life, humanity itself will be peaceful. Today is a good day to commit to non-violence. Check out our links page for some good reading.

Think – Buy fair-trade coffee. Support local businesses. Smile at strangers. We all have the power to change the way in which we live our lives and from that, change the world around us. Think before you buy, before you speak, before you eat. Learn to become more aware of your actions.

Learn – and share. Take time to learn about the problems that the modern world faces. Learn with friends. Learn from books. And mostly, learn from your own experiences. Once we see, we can’t un-see. Then, we can act. We would like to collate the findings of others on our website and to create a way of sharing information… so let us know! Maybe you could start a study group? Offer your skills – If you are unable to join us on the journey itself, it doesn’t mean that you can’t be involved. If you want to help us work towards a more peaceful world there is so much you can do! We are currently looking for people to help with public relations, fundraising, website maintenance and networking. And we’re not the only ones. We’ll be happy to put you in contact with other groups who would really appreciate your help.

Donate – It would be great to be able to raise money for the organizations we will be working alongside in the Middle East. If you can’t come with us but would like to contribute or if a friend or family member is coming and you would like to ‘sponsor’ them, please click here.
